Social Media – Made Manageable

Creative Startups, known for its business accelerator programs, is offering a series of workshops designed for businesses in the outdoor recreation and experience industries. The series will focus on social media and will enable business owners to build or improve online sales and marketing.

Each of the four classes costs $15 and includes an in-person 3-hour workshop. Participants may join virtually or in person. 

The series includes:

(1) Social Media ~ Getting Started: Helps beginners understand platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn) and create accounts on two relevant platforms.

  • 1 hour Online Learning Session February 10th 9am – 10am
  • 2 hour Working Sessions in libraries on February 11th or 12th

(2) Canva for Small Business: Provides business owners with a basic introduction to using Canva templates and tools and posting to social media accounts. Canva is an extraordinarily easy-to-use, affordable, and powerful graphic design tool that anyone can learn and use to make amazing-looking social media posts!

  • 1 hour Online Learning Session February 17th 9am – 10am
  • 2 hour Working Sessions in libraries on February 18th or 19th

(3) Instagram for Small Business: Starts with developing an Editorial Calendar or Marketing Plan, moves into terminology, trends, and uses of Instagram’s posts, live, stories, messaging, and other functions. Participants create and post videos, images, and live events.

  • 1 hour Online Learning Session February 24th 9am – 10am
  • 2 hour Working Sessions in libraries on February 25th or 26th

(4) Facebook for Small Business: Includes developing an Editorial Calendar or Marketing Plan, and moves into terminology, trends, and uses of Facebook’s pages, streaming/live, messaging, and other functions. Participants create and post videos, images, comments, messaging, and live events.

  • 1 hour Online Learning Session March 3rd 13th 9am – 10am
  • 2 hour Working Sessions in libraries on March 4th or 5th
