Rural Efficient Business Program

Another signature EDD business-building effort is the Rural Efficient Business Program, which assists businesses with saving money by becoming energy efficient.

Brownrice Internet of Taos used the program to help it apply for funding from the USDA’s Rural Energy for America Program (REAP). The awarded REAP money helped Brownrice build a solar parking structure, adding to the company’s other energy-efficient structures, which include its state-of-the-art solar-powered data center.

The president of Brownrice Internet will share his thoughts on how to successfully apply for the grant. He will also offer options for utilizing the funding.
