Regional Agencies Still Have Money to Lend

Money is still available through New Mexico’s regional Council of Governments (known as COGs) that created emergency loan funds during the height of the pandemic. The Working Now Revolving Loan Fund created by North Central New Mexico Economic Development District and the Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) created by Northwest New Mexico Council of Governments continue to accept applications from small businesses in their service areas.

The North Central NM Economic Development District’s Working Now Loan Fund is available to help small businesses located in the counties of Colfax, Los Alamos, Mora, Rio Arriba, San Miguel, Sandoval, Santa Fe, and Taos. Money can be used for expenses like payroll, rent, inventory, marketing, ecommerce development, and small capital improvements. The NCNMEDD partners with Northern New Mexico banks to provide participation loans that fill financial gaps for businesses. Get more information here. Apply here.

The Northwest NM Council of Governments’ Revolving Loan Fund is available to existing business owners operating in the counties of Cibola, McKinley and San Juan in northwest New Mexico. The loan can be used for working capital, the purchase or improvement of real estate or machinery, leaseholder improvements, and debt refinancing. The NWNMCOG is particularly interested in assisting businesses that may have high interest payments on existing loans. Apply here.
