An Entrepreneurial Playground

Entrepreneurs are fond of saying that starting their business was the most fun they’ve ever had and the hardest thing they’ve ever done. Several events in the coming weeks aim to offer some fun as they provide the resources, support, and entrepreneurial networks that offer startup business owners a solid foundation.

ProjectY in Los Alamos is hosting the Atomic City Entrepreneurial Round Robin, described as “speed dating for business resources,” from 5:30 to 8:30 pm on Monday, February 7, 2022. Participants will be introduced to angel investors, nonprofit lenders, and grant programs. Register here.

CNM Ingenuity reprises its popular Ski Lift Pitch competition at Taos Ski Valley on Thursday, February 24, 2022. Hit the slopes and have fun as you learn what investors seek in a startup. Read more here.

ActivateNM (a part of CNM Ingenuity) is collaborating with the New Mexico Angels to offer Startup Office Hours + Social, an online gathering of entrepreneurs and mentors who get together to talk about pressing business questions their ventures are facing. Discussion topics typically include raising venture capital, customer discovery, sales, marketing, financing options, technical support, and finding team members. Startup Office Hours are usually held on the third Friday of each month. The next meeting is February 18, 2022, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm. Register here.

Women entrepreneurs can join the monthly WE Coffee Meetup to connect with other women entrepreneurs looking to launch and grow their businesses. Part of Arrowhead Center‘s WE Network — a spin-off of the WE Mean Business conference — WE Coffee Meetups are held on the 4th Thursday of each month. The February meeting will be held online from 10:00 to 11:00 am on Thursday, February 24, 2022. Who has more fun than a group of women entrepreneurs? The Zoom link can be found here.
