The New Mexico Economic Development Department Office of Science and Technology is accepting applications from for-profit companies in the science and technology fields for grants of up to $25,000. Companies in aerospace, biosciences, cybersecurity, Intelligent Manufacturing, sustainable, and green energy fields are encouraged to apply by 5:00 pm MST on Monday, December 12, 2022.
Eligible companies must have fewer than 50 employees, have the potential for high growth, agree to seek additional funding, and provide 6-month and 12-month status reports.
The department uses these guidelines to determine whether an applicant qualifies as high growth:
- Unique product or service
- Clear and compelling business proposition
- Scalable product and business model
- Capable team
- Potential to create jobs in New Mexico, private investment
- Economic benefit to the state
