Short for Rural Community Assistance Corporation, RCAC is a nonprofit community development financial institution (CDFI) that serves small businesses, nonprofits, and community and tribal organizations in rural areas with less than 50,000 in population. RCAC’s loan fund fills financing gaps in New Mexico rural communities and 12 other western states.
RCAC’s Small Business Coaching team responds to individual needs by offering tailored assistance that can include financial analysis, cash flow projections, business plan preparation, marketing, business recovery strategy, and access to additional resources. A business does not have to carry an RCAC loan to receive coaching.
RCAC enables businesses to retain or create jobs that improve the economic condition of rural communities. In addition to coaching, it offers lines of credit, short-term loans for working capital, and long-term loans for business needs such as real estate and equipment. Business loans are tailored to the needs of the business, and RCAC offers flexible terms.
This is how a small business in Gallup recovered from the pandemic with the help of RCAC.
