The nonprofit lender DreamSpring has embarked on a 5-year plan to escalate its annual impact ten-fold over the organization’s 2019 lending levels by increasing its focus on entrepreneurs of color, low- and moderate-income entrepreneurs, people with disabilities, and other groups that are often underserved or marginalized.
In an August 2021 presentation to Albuquerque Economic Forum, DreamSpring founder and CEO Anne Haines said, “What this means is that for entrepreneurs of color, for low- and moderate-income entrepreneurs, for women entrepreneurs, for people with disabilities, and for startup businesses, we are planning a thousand percent increase in impact.”
DreamSpring is a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) that increases access to credit, makes loans, and provides a community of support to help entrepreneurs realize their dreams. It offers loans of up to $2 million with affordable fixed rates and flexible credit requirements.
