The Regional Development Corporation (RDC) is accepting applications for up to $3,000 in capital from its Micro-Grant Fund. And the national organization, Local Initiatives Support Corporate (LISC), is accepting applications for up to $5,000 in funding from its FedEx E-Commerce Learning Lab fund. The criteria for each program differ widely, but both represent small business grant programs that can give new business owners critical funding for their enterprises.

The RDC Micro-Grant Fund is open to businesses located in the Northern New Mexico counties of Los Alamos, Mora, Rio Arriba, San Miguel, Sandoval (northern portion), Santa Fe, and Taos. Offered once a year, the competitive grant provides funds for purchases that will advance the company’s progress, including equipment, consulting services, and specialized software. To be eligible, businesses must have been operational for at least one year, have a business license and a dedicated bank account, and a CRS number registered with the State of New Mexico Tax and Revenue Service. Preference is given to businesses located in rural areas and those not previously awarded.
The RDC Micro-Grant 2026 application deadline is July 1. A recorded webinar held on June 9 is available, along with all criteria and the application, on the RDC website.
The LISC grant program is also competitive, but the odds of acceptance are lower because it is national. LISC, which offers SBA 7(a) loans, has partnered with FedEx and the e-commerce company 37 Oaks on a four-month program designed to help small business owners strengthen their e-commerce strategy and set their business up for long-term growth. The FedEx E-Commerce Learning Lab is a good fit for businesses that are already operating, currently sell packaged, shelf-stable products, are active on social media, and want to strengthen their online sales. Participants who complete the program receive a $5,000 grant to invest back into their business.
Details of the LISC program can be found on the Accion Opportunity Fund website. The deadline to apply is June 30, 2026.
