Economic development organizations promote development by recruiting new businesses and supporting existing businesses within their regions. They do this through personalized assistance and information about site selection, financial incentives and region-specific resources.
Their goal is to support business development through relationships and programs that accelerate individual business growth.
Many of the regional economic development organizations are affiliated with and receive funding from the New Mexico Economic Development Department, and most partner with the private sector for support.
