Economic development organizations recruit new businesses and support existing businesses through relationships and programs that accelerate individual business growth. ED organizations help with site selection, financial incentives and connections to region-specific resources.
The Greater Artesia Economic Development Corporation (GAEDC) makes recommendations to the Artesia City Council for economic development funding assistance to new or expanding businesses and other projects designed for local economic development that fall within the organization’s stated priorities. Qualifying entities may apply for development assistance.
It is the mission of the Greater Artesia Economic Development Commission to provide the leadership and direction necessary to develop and establish a positive environment for economic and business growth through incentives and assistance for local business expansion and attraction of new and relocating businesses, all of which are focused on the creation of new jobs and quality of life for Artesia area residents.
