The Albuquerque Black Business Fund grants aim to provide financial assistance to businesses meeting certain criteria, promoting economic empowerment and growth within the community. The grants are in three tiers tied to the amount of the award, with Tier 3 — the top grant — awarding up to $5,000.

Grants are awarded quarterly, and the Fall 2025 grant cycle opens on October 1. Applications will be accepted through October 31, and award decisions will be made within 90 days of application submission.

For-profit applicants must specify how the funds will be utilized to benefit and grow their business. Non-profits/tax-exempt organizations must specify how the funds will be utilized for programs that serve the community. Strategic investments to enhance business operations, equipment and supply purchases, and continuing education are appropriate uses of funds.

Eligible businesses must be operating in the City of Albuquerque and be members of the Black Chamber of Commerce of New Mexico. Small businesses with 1-5 employees can join the Chamber for an annual fee of $100.
