Job Training Incentive Program (JTIP)

JTIP is one of the most popular incentive programs in New Mexico. It pays for classroom and on-the-job training for newly-created jobs in expanding or relocating businesses for up to six months. The program reimburses 50 to 75 percent of employee wages.

The City of Las Cruces’ incentive, Wage +, put into effect July 1, 2013, provides a per job reimbursement for JTIP qualifying businesses that hire and train new employees for jobs that pay a certain percent more than the county median wage.

Bernalillo CountyBernalillo County businesses can turn to the Bernalillo County Economic Development Department for help navigating JTIP as well as other incentive programs.

Companies interested in JTIP funding must apply before their newly-created jobs are filled. The program does not apply to existing jobs.
